Steps to Happiness

Step1-Think Happy

Its not trick, if you want to be happy, think happy. Be satisfied with who you are and what you have. Sometimes its hard, but remember that moods help interrupt what we see. So start thinking everything is good and you will be surprised that good things just keep happening. Besides from just trying to stay happy, I recommend using affirmations. [more]

Step 2-Dress for Success

Your dress helps determine your mood almost just as much as your thoughts do. Your dress is a subconscious expression of who we think we are, if you dress in all black, you most likely will have darker thoughts. Always try to wear something that will make others think that you are a happy positive person. Make sure it is also comfortable to you. Remember not to over do it too, simple things always work better. [more]

Step 3-Stay out of the Dump

Have you heard the expression “you are what you eat.” Well our minds are what we put into them. Music is a big source of emotion for our brain. Try to listen to uplifting music, they call it that because it uplifts. The news and talk radio shows also tend not be very uplifting. [more]

Step 4-Let it Go

Let the past be the past. Don't keep focusing on the mistakes you made or the mistakes someone else has made. Stay free from grudges and hate. When you are so focused on any negative thought it lower your mood. [more]

Step 5-Be Nice

Most people will treat us how we treat them. If your are rude to someone chances are they going to be rude right back, and you'll most likely spend the rest of the day regretting what you did and said. If you accidently blow up, remember step 3, let it go, and then move on to step 4. [more]

Step 6-Smile

When your happy you smile, so try to smile when your not, you might just find yourself being happy. [more]
